New Oeko-Tex® labels and certificates
Simultaneous with the implementation of the new criteria and limit values, as of 1 April new versions of the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 labels and versions of the certificates will officially become valid. All companies that hold Oeko-Tex® certification are required to use immediately the new versions of the label to designate their products and for other promotional purposes. The corresponding files can, as usual be obtained free of charge by ordering them from us as printable vector graphics (pdf) as well as in web capable png-format.
The new versions of the label have been slightly modernised graphically, and above all, optimised with respect to their print characteristics for product marking. The text of the label was also adapted. Now, in all 30 available languages it bears the uniform phrase "Confidence in Textiles - Tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100".
With respect to graphic design the new labels are subject to the following new regulations:
For the purpose of its international use, all the binding colour values are now provided only in the ISO-scale (CMYK colour model):
Green = 92 C / 0 M / 100 Y / 7 K
Yellow = 0 C / 43 M / 100 Y / 0 K
Grey = 60 K
Black = 100 K
The RGB values to use for correct depiction of the Oeko-Tex® labels in the Internet are:
Green = R 0 / G 140 / B 50
Yellow = R 255 / G 145 / B 0
Grey = R 112 / G 112 / B 112
Black = R 0 / G 0 / B 0
For monochrome presentations of the Oeko-Tex® label in grey the following gradations apply:
Yellow = 44% Black
Green = 70% Black
Grey = 60% Black
Black = 100 Black
The paper templates used for issuing Oeko-Tex® certificates have also been graphically revised and are now available in 29 languages as well as in US letter format. All the content elements, such as test and expert report numbers, article group descriptions and the barcode will nevertheless be retained as per usual. If you have questions about using the new Oeko-Tex® label templates, please contact Mrs. Dr. Elke Lorentzen.
